B. E PROJECT

Structural Analysis of Splice Joint in an Aircraft Fuselage

Mentor- Mr.S.Rajesh Kumar(Dec’18 - April’19)

TheProject includes the stress analysis of the splice joint in a transport aircraft. Finite Element Analysis will be carried out on the Splice joint panel by using ANSYS software. The results of fuselage model for both with and without splice joint were compared. The results of total deformation, stress and strain distribution were obtained. The result is found that fuselage with splice joint have more strength and reliability than the fuselage without splice joint.

The project involved determination of various structural, aerodynamic, stability and performance parameters of the aircraft and analysis of the behavior of thoseparameters.

•Participated in INTER COLLEGE ENVIRONMENTAL SYMPOSIUM held at CAHCET on 24-02-2018 and won II PLACE.

•Presented a paper and won 2nd place in FALCKERS2K18 on 17th march 2018 in the Material Testing Of Nickel Titanium Alloy In Aerospace Industries.
