Responsibilities as Chief Estimator / Tendering Manager Review the quantities worked out by quantity surveyors & compare them with tender quantities given by consultant.
1. Prepare accurate and timely bid estimates on project specifications ensuring adequate return on the resources employed.
2. Study tender specifications and project requirements and determine special conditions that may be ambiguous & have unforeseen costs.
3. Prepare tender proposal with necessary clarifications, qualifications, assumptions, deviations & exclusions. 4. Attend pre-bid meetings and determine clear scope of work to prepare proper estimate.
5. Investigate jobsite conditions prior to bid to evaluate site accessibility that would affect construction methods and costs. 6. Estimate accurately each job and review the estimate with other quantity surveyors & Estimators in sufficient time to permit careful analysis, checking of calculations, and corrections as necessary. 7. Invite bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Obtain bid estimates at the most competitive price early enough to ensure timely completion of tender.
8. Revise quotations as required to estimate any alternate designs if required by consultant / client.
Responsibilities as Materials Engineer
1. Reviewing the material requisition received from site & send the enquiries to suppliers & sub-contractors to get the quotation. CV of Rajiv Parakh Page 6
2. Prepare proper quotation comparison statement after checking all drawings, spec’s, BOQ. Check all the inclusions, exclusions items. 3. Compare the prices received with the Budget prices prepared by the cost control department.
4. Negotiate with supplier/subcontractor & place the Letter of Intent who has quoted the lowest price & meets all the specifications. 5. Send the material / sub-contract proposal to site for getting approval from consultant/client.
6. To resubmit if any comments/remarks from consultant/client. 7. Confirm the order to the supplier/subcontractor based on agreed terms & conditions of the letter of intent.
Responsibilities as Project Engineer
1. Worked as project engineer at Al Qassimi hospital project & many Defense projects in Abu Dhabi.
2. Supervision on day to day basis and get the work checked from consultant.
3. Execution of work as per drawings, specifications & instructions received from client/consultant.
4. To attend site progress meeting with consultant & various sub contractors working at site.
5. Controlling labor cost against the production.
Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor
1. Responsibility of taking off actual quantities from drawings & compare them with budget quantities.
2. Send the requisition of material & subcontract to head office as per actual quantities.
3. To submit the material & sub contract proposal to consultant for getting approval.
4. Follow-up with consultant for approval of material & sub contract. Once approved by consultant send the confirmation to head office for placing the order.

6. To submit monthly payment to consultant for work done at site
& follow up for consultant’s certification.
7. To submit the claim/variation to consultant if any extra work is done at site.
