Electromechanics Modeling Of Capacitance Pressure Sensor With Variation Of MEMS Insulators In Comsol Multiphysics

B.Sc Engg. Thesis, Department of EEE, AIUB, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Ranked as 9th place among the project & thesis groups of 159 groups. In this thesis work, a capacitance pressure sensor was designed & simulated by using the software COMSOL Multi-physics. Different materials and perimeters were changed several times. Every time it was being tried to make sure about the best efficiency of capacitance.

Intrusion Detection System for Smart Grids

Intrusion detection systems identify activities that violate the security policy of a computer system or network of a smart grid. IDS for Smart grid leverages communication traffic in the information infrastructure to detect cyber-attacks. It analyzes communications traffic at different network levels of smart grid including home area networks, neighborhood area networks, and wide area networks.The machine-learning algorithms were used in the proposed framework to identify intrusion in the smart grid.

Term Paper Project

New Wind Generation

The design project is solved for a new wind generation by considering new transmission lines (with 345-kV and 161-kV), transformers upgrading 161-kV to 345-kV and bus methods. Three new transmission lines were considered in both the design cases and they are solved using contingency analysis for no violations. The criteria

that must be considered is the total amount of savings obtained from subtracting the cost of generation and cost of losses should be minimum.
