Project Name: Booster Pump Station with Potable and Process Water Network for MISCO The Project’s pipeline length to be as per Bayanat Pipeline profile (13km) +the length required for connection to the tanks. Pipe size Product Water pipeline to be 24” (or the contractor may elect to alter the pipe size subject to guarantee of the future delivery flow via the same pipe up to 30000m3/day). Potable water pipeline size to accommodate 10000m3/day. However, the designed velocity should not exceed 2m/s. Product water and Potable water pipeline to be laid from Majis existing desalination plant at Suhar Industrial Port Area (SIPA) Plot 21 to MISCO at Suhar Industrial Estate (SIE) phase 7. Provision of Tee connection for future interconnection with Sohar industrial estate (SIE) and Sohar free zone (SFZ). At booster pump station 1; Provision of tee with valve connection in discharge main line of product and potable for future tapping. Telecommunication facilities to be provided between Boosters pump station 1 and 2 with a Fiber cable.

The Process and Potable water network has to build with two pumping station (1 Nos at Majis RO Plant & 1 No @ MISCO Plant) & 2 Storage tank (GLS Tank: 3000 Cu.m & 1000 Cu.m). The Total length of the pipeline network shall be 13 KM, Which involves Road crossing and various utilities crossing. Out of 13 KM around 2.5 KM is inside of the Sohar Port and 10.5 KM outside the port. The Key highlights of the project as follows, the NOC from various competent authorities Like Sohar municipality, Liwa Municipality, Sohar Industrial Estate, PAEW and Owners of the utilities. & Tools are available at site. Shutdown of Pumping Station & Close the nearest Gate Valve. Open the Gate Valve of the nearest Washout Chamber & Dewatering the Pipeline from the nearest Washout Chamber (about 400 cum meter water & 200 m of pipe to be dewatered). Cutting of CS Pipe, (two Welders will do this work with Grinders & Necessary Tools). Loading of the cut CS Pipe peace with Boom Loader. Unloading of Flange Adaptors at the same time by Team into the chamber & its installation with the extremities of Pipe. Unloading of Butterfly Valve & Fixing with the Flange Adaptors & Tightening of Bolts. Opening of the Nearest Gate Valve. Testing & Inspection for any leak & bolts retightening.

Al Hazam Pump Station & Rustaq Pump Station

! Supply and installation of pump sets as follow

• Two new transmission pump sets to pump water from Al Hazam Ground reservoir to Rustaq ground reservoir including tapping of to water towers at Hwaqayn, Gharwah.

(Where a pump set is defined as the pump, motor base plate and all associated ancillaries),

• Operation of pumps shall be Two existing pumps and two new pumps in duty status (total 4 pumps parallel operation) + one standby (existing pump)

! Design supply and installation op pipe work, valves instruments, pipe work supports and small civil works to accommodate the new pump sets on existing plinths.

! Surge analysis report for combine pumping scenarios for the above transmission and installation of protections as required by additional surge vessel (if required) to protect the transmission pipe line from hydraulic transient effects.

! New/Modification/Extension of the new existing electrical panels for operation of pump

! sets (new starter sections for each of the new pump sets (2 Nos),

! Modifications in cabling, cable trays and earthing to accommodate the new pump sets

! Relay setting calculations and MV/LV protections settings, energizing, commissioning and testing of pump station.

! All control, alarm and other signals shall be transferred onto the existing SCADA system such that control of the pumping equipment is similar to existing installation at site, any alterations required to the SCADA system will be the responsibility of the contractor.

! Supply of power cable and instrumentation cables for successful commissioning shall be included.

! Two new transmission pump sets to pump water from Rustaq ground reservoir Wadi Sen ground reservoir with tapping off to tabaqah elevated tower & Khafdi ground reservoir, hay Al Sarh Tanker filling station (TFS) (Where a pump set is defined as the pump, motor base plate and all associate ancillaries),
