The existing system

• Controller set point of cooling tower is set by an operator and its output drives a final control element. A

• Level controller gives instruction to keep the level at its set point. Then according to instruction, the control valve takes the control action (opens or closes outlet to maintain the desired level inside basin of cooling tower)

Proposed system (The project modification done by our team)

• We implemented fuzzy logic controller so that the level of water in basin is controlled using a makeup valve

• The outflow rate depends on the pressure in basin which varies with water level. The two inputs to fuzzy system are the water level error and the rate or change of water level. So that the output of fuzzy system is rate at which control valve is opening or closing in the basin of cooling tower. This method results in improving efficiency and more advanced in technology and eliminates wastage of water PUBLICATIONS

• Improvement of Gas Turbine and Revamping of Cooling Tower: (15th and 16th March, 2019) Presented a Paper titled " Improvement of Gas turbine and Revamping of cooling tower " in National conference on recent advances in mechanical services held on 15th and 16th March 2019 at Rajalakshmi engineering college Chennai.
