EXPERIENCE
Graduate Student Researcher IISP (Georgia Tech) May 2020 - Present Built a classifier to extract ZoomBomb, WebExRaid information from public data sources. Used OWASP Threat Dragon to build a threat model for vulnerability assessment. Currently incorporating RBAC in the Jitsi Video Conference project and researching Zero Knowledge based 2FA schemes for protecting privacy in video conference apps. Software Developer PurpleDocs December 2017 - April 2019 Developed Rest APIs to facilitate data access. Worked with designing the backend model in Java on the Spring MVC Framework with a relational database. Modeled programs to mine, refine and store data leading to 83% improvement in product response time.
Highly experienced with penetration testing of the product application. PROJECTS
Crawled the web to collect top 1 million sites (sources: Alexa, Majestic, Tranco). Analyzed for security vulnerabilities, enumerated sub domains and provided visualizations for changing data trends.
Image Authentication Using Visual Cryptography
Designed a security protocol for image authentication, based on (k,n) cryptography. Successfully simulated it to ensure Patient Data Privacy in healthcare systems and thwart fabrication attacks. ARAN: Authenticated Routing for Ad Hoc Networks
Implemented the ARAN protocol using cryptographic certificates to introduce authentication, non-repudiation and integrity in Ad Hoc networks
Ransomware Policy for Healthcare Institutions
Developed a policy for Ransomware Protection for hospitals. The policy detailed guidelines for preventing, detecting, mitigating, and recovering from a Ransomware Attack. The guidelines were formulated according to appropriate national standards and conventions and also addressed access control and non-compliance
Diamond Model Analysis of Mirai IoT Botnet
Provided a technical analysis of the Mirai attack based on the Diamond Model. Examined the attack to clearly identify Adversary, Victim, Infrastructure and Capability. Investigated the Socio- Political meta feature in the Mirai attack.
