As a warehouse supervisor at Electric House Qatar one of my main responsibilities is maintaining the accuracy of the inventory management. I create and generate each purchase order for every supplier and receiving them accordingly and adding additional expenses incurred while the items are received like shipping fees, handling invoices, forklift or crane if needed plus the correct conversion specially if the materials came from abroad. Physical inspection and counting is a must to detect early any damages incurred by the shipment or any missing items in the packing so that I can file claims against the supplier invoices before receiving in Citrix. Requesting finance to do cycle calculations so that system prices will be adjusted accordingly so that there will be no lost in profits if the receiving price is very high. Each inventory schedule either quarterly, semi annually or annually is assisted by auditors from head office or from de Loittes international. So all items should be exact in system and physical present but also in the correct bin location for easy access and location. All documents from both supplier and customer invoices including other supporting documentation like PO and receiving and inventory counts in each period are filed and controlled by me as well.
