Studies on Geopolymer Concrete with Pond Ash as Fine Aggregate (M.Tech Thesis) Description:

Pond ash is a waste from thermal power plants. Most of studies and reviews focused on the utilization of fly ash only. Pond ash is discarded as a waste. Dumping of pond ash in grounds and lakes causes various effects on the environment. To reduce the dumping of the pond ash, one of the traditional method is to utilize it in civil engineering fields. This study is based on the utilization of pond ash as fine aggregate in geopolymer concrete. Advantages:

Up to 5% fine aggregate in geopolymer concrete can be replaced by pond ash without any negative effect on strength and durability properties.

Dumping problems of pond ash can be minimized.

By using pond ash as fine aggregate, geopolymer concrete will become more greener concrete. Interpersonal Skills
