Configured and troubleshoot local and wide-area network (LAN and WAN) solutions between multiple platforms.
Function as a POC for incidents escalated by the Level-1 team and work on devising resolutions to the incidents.
Provide Level-2 Support for different types of CMRS done by Level-3. Open tickets with Providers for any issues.
Coordinate with the DataCenter Technician in troubleshooting and resolving physical layer issues such as replacing and reseating SFP, Cable, PEM, FPC or Module.
Collaborate with the colocation or circuit provider to resolve link issues and ensure the link is stable and carrying traffic.
Enable and disable traffic on links and reload the devices on live Production Network.
Isolate the fault for link issues like incrementing errors and link flaps and troubleshooting by conducting loop tests.
Accomplish a wide range of alerts from network devices like Routers, Layer-2/Layer-3 Switches, load balancers, NGN Firewalls, WLC, and leased lines.
Resolve issues for existing BGP sessions with free peers. Configure new sessions upon receiving requests from peers.
Manage the incidents of Backbone circuits such as leased lines and raise tickets to respective service
providers.
Network Engineer, Wipro Bangalore, India July 2016 -Dec 2017
Troubleshooting of CISCO routers like ping, trace route and basic issues.
Ensure connectivity and communication among networks, servers and clients inside and outside department.
IOS upgrade for Cisco routers & switches.
Configured and troubleshoot OSPF and EIGRP.
Ensure reliability, stability and recoverable of specific server environments.
WAN Infrastructure running OSPF & BGP as core routing protocol.
Planning and configuring the routing protocols such as OSPF, RIP, and Static Routing on the routers.
Worked on ASA firewalls and F5 load balancers
Managing Layer 2 switches of Cisco, VLAN configuration and assigning ports to specific VLAN as per requirement.
Monitor and tune network to ensure acceptable levels of performance.
Responsible for Internal and external accounts and, managing LAN/WAN and checking for Security
documentation, including Cisco Routers, Switches, and Network application
configurations.
Accomplishments:
WAN Optimization Design for an Enterprise
Designed a WAN network for an organization that has Head office, Branch office, and remote access.
Implemented network security policies and Created LAN for both locations.
Comparison of Routing Protocols and Building an Enterprise Network
Created a network topology on Cisco packet tracer and observed the performance of BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
Created similar topologies on actual routers and switches in the laboratory, as well as implemented BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF to compare the performances.
