Payroll Supervisor

Responsibilities

Hands on Supervisor responsible for managing payroll department with one Payroll/Benefits Specialist, 14 entities and 850 employees across Texas.

Processed payroll on a weekly basis for hourly and salaried employees, for our full and counter service restaurants which included calculations for indirectly and directly tipped employees.

Processed General Ledger for the Accounting department and ensured all numbers tied with the entries booked to our financial record keeping system. Answered all questions that the Accounting department posed in a timely fashion to allow them to close their books out in time at month end.

Super User/Super Admin responsible for all Ultipro configurations in the HR, Payroll and Benefits modules. Ensured all functions were calculating correctly. Worked with Ultipro tech support if new out of scope functionality needed to be built.

Analyzed ways to improve processes to save the company money. Was able to reduce payroll costs by 10k each month.

Improved processes for calculating daily indirectly tips and rolled out process/procedures to restaurant locations and trained managers.

Responsible for annual benefits open enrollment. Worked with broker to get the most affordable rates for our employees. Maintained benefit portals when new hires came on board and when employees left the company.

In charge of handling all audits, including the annual 401k and various census requirements.

Solely responsible for all processing of bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
