Team Role:
Heading various activities entailing modeling of new product as per the design requirements / calculation, detailing of part, fitment of assembly, testing of machine/components.
Establishing Auto Doffer in Ring Spinning Machine to improve their performance. Performing activities related to heat treatment process, selection of materials as per design applications, determination of force, other design calculations.
Interfacing with several suppliers for selection of drives like Geared Motor and Servomotor for machine applications

Have undertaken SKF bearing E-courses and completed 7 course tests.
Received appreciation from the management for achieving Machine automation which reduces the machine stoppage time.
Working Methodologies
Modeling of new product from the scratch based on Design requirements/Calculation, detailing of parts, Manufacturing Follow up, Assembly Fitment, Testing of machine/Components at customer site.
Working in New product development team. NPD mainly on machine automation.
Manage responsibilities to develop Auto doffer in Ring Spinning machine and to improve its performance.
Worked for cost reduction project based on Manufacturing/Customer feedback without compromising on Quality.
Core competencies
Good knowledge about GD&T and its application,tolerance stackup analysis.
Selection of materials based on the design application and its performance on the given problem, which also involves the heat treatment process also.
Good knowledge in hand calculation of machine elements like Belts,chain,pulley,couplings,shaft and determination of force,deflection.
Have selected Drives like Geared motor/Servomotor,Pneumatic cylinders for the machine application and verifying with the supplier.
Have designed casting parts & sheetmetal parts for the Ring frame machine.
Developing new concepts and implementation in machine.
PROJECT WORKS COMPLETED:
Scissor arm Lifting mechanism system
Scissor arm Lifting mechanism was developed in the machine for lifting the completed tubes from the machine and putting the empty tube back into the machine.
The complete weight of the system comes around 2 tons and it is powered with a help of Two pole induction motor and the linear actuation with the help of screw rod.
Design calculation of buckling of screw rod, stress the screw can withstand, selection of chains and bearings and its calculation
and selection of drives, and designing of casting frames.
Usage of Ball screw in the machine.
The same Lifting system was done with a help of ball screw in place of trapezoidal screw rod, to increase the efficiency and improve the positioning accuracy at precise places.
Design calculation includes finding out the ball screw life, selection bearings for ball screw mountings and designing of casting mounting frames.
Steel belt conveyor Machine (material handling system)
Design and development of stainless steel belt conveyor for a length of approximately 100 meters (machine length) for transporting components from one part of the machine to another part.
Design calculation of torque required to pull the complete weight of the system, elongation of the steel belt, raw material selection, design of plastic parts
The project was successfully exhibited in shangaiTex expo 2015,
ITME Milanexpo16.
Gear drive design for conveyor system
Design and development of spur gear drive system for a conveyor belt application to achieve the required load to drag the components of the system.

Linkage mechanism for Swing in out system
Swing inout Mechanism with Linkages was designedtotiltthe entire scissor arm for the complete length of the machine.
Asapart of cost effectivenessthe same designwas modified with actuation done with a single cylinder itself
instead of two.
Gripper design (Design of plastic parts)
Design and development of Polymer Gripper with pneumatic actuation to hold on the components and dropping the same again in to the system.
The design made good knowledge in design of plastic components and its material selection.
Flat belt Conveyor for material transport system
Flat Belt Conveyors designed for the transport of items from one machine to another machines system.
Design of Sheet metal and flat belt pulley included. Expertise in sheetmetal design is gained through this project.
Automatic Tube Loading machine
New tube loader mechanism was developed to meet the growing marketing needs and to address the problems experienced. New design meets the new long machine requirement by increasing the speed of tube loading from
34tubes/min to 40tubes/min.
