Description: Doha Metro Project has four lines Red, Green, Gold & Blue including one ICC, one ECC and two Depots. Four lines consist of 37 stations which are mostly underground and few are elevated. THALES is responsible for Seven Systems as follows Signalling & Communication Based Train Control, Telecommunication, SCADA, AFC Gates (Automatic Fare Collection), Integrated/Emergency Control Centre, Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, MOI QAF Tetra/MOI Broadband.

Client : QATAR RAIL PMCS (Consultant) : SYSTRA PARSONS

Roles and responsibilities:

1.Responsible for the quality and workmanship of each and every activity on site, thorough knowledge of seven systems with respect to their installation, T&C of Telecom, Signalling & Train control, AFC, SCADA, Tetra, FDAS, ICC/ECC.

2.Taking care of QA/QC documentation of the project including Inspection Requests (IRE), Project Quality Plan, Test Certificates, Calibration certificates, Test results, Non-Compliance Reports and site instruction/observations.

3.Working closely with Systems Assurance Manager, QA/QC Manager, and Document Controller for reporting, controlling, and monitoring all activities related to Quality Assurance/Quality Control.

4.Ensuring that Inspection & Test Plans, Work Method Statements and Contract Documentation are permanent respected during the Works through Aconex, Project Specification.

5.Issuing NCR’s & verification of CAR’s, preparing site surveillance reports, weekly progress photographs, & weekly progress reports.

6.Work together with the project team so as to ensure that specific QA requirements, contractually agreed are understood and adhered to by sub-contractors, suppliers, & sub-suppliers.

7.Review quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality and collaborate with the sub-contractors for all material procurement and maintain a quality of materials.

8.Coordinate/Supervise material inspection activities on products procured by THALES logistics, before delivery on site in accordance with Project Quality plan and project requirements.

9.Ensuring Incoming inspection for supplied raw materials and equipment and participate to the FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) conducted at the supplier’s factory.

10.Inspection of all installations related to Signalling & Train control (Field Element Controller, Axle Counter Evaluator, Point Machine, Axle Counter, Local field operation panel), Telecom system (CCTV, PAS, LAN, ECS, ACS, etc.), AFC (Gates, TVM, TOM, etc.) in Stations, Tunnels & Viaduct/Wayside.

11.Inspection of all installation related to cable laying like OFC, CAT6, DATA etc., cable tray, GI trunking, containment/conduits for all Telecom system in station, tunnel & Viaduct/Wayside.

12.Attending weekly meetings internally and monthly meetings with Thales Installation team & part of the interface with the customer representative and installation team.

13.Witnessing all test results during T&C phase of Telecom system, AFC & SCADA. On-board testing of SCADA system and witnessing the test results for IST’s, PCT’s till CHOC, TOC of five systems in stations & ICC/ECC.

14.Knowledge of CENELEC Standards EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129 and attended RAMS training classes, Safety Training sessions, Safety meetings, Quality training programs for various sub-contractors under THALES.

Project Engineer ELV

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.Installation of 25mm GI conduit for CCTV system, WAP/DATA systems.

2.Installation of cameras with bracket like wall mounted, ceiling mounted & roof mounted.

3.GI Trunking installation in basements for passing of CCTV services to IDF, MDF rooms.

4.CAT6A cable termination and Installation of server rack in IDF & MDF rooms.

5.Testing & commissioning of CCTV system till hand over to the client.

6.Rising of RFI for Inspection by the Consultant and inspection with the consultant representatives.

7.Quality inspection of ELV Works, Testing & commissioning of CCTV system.

8.To attend all CCTV system inspections with client/contractor representatives.

9.Handling safety related issues with the Client as per safety standards and supervising work to be carried out under safe environment.

Description: Project Load 60Kw, worked for 10 months in this project, Project completely executed with 25 manpower, Project duration 1 year.

1. Installation, Inspection of low voltage panels, capacitor banks, meter cabinets and distribution boards their installation, termination, and erection.

2. Installation, Inspection of cable laying for main distribution board, sub-main distribution boards, meter cabinets and distribution board (Final DB).

Project 2:

2B+4P+G+25 Eden Garden Tower (Residential Building), Sports city, Dubai, UAE.

Client: Lokhandwala Builders International (LBI) Consultant: ABB Engineers & Architects

Description: Project Load 650 Kw, worked for 14 months in this project, Project Duration 2 years.

1.Installation/Inspection of all Electrical works related to Low voltage and Extra low voltage systems.

2.Inspection/Installation of concealed conduit for lighting and fire alarm system. Inspection of cable tray in the basement, podium for low voltage services.

3.Installation of GI trunking for low current services in all typical levels of the building.

4.Inspection of material used in the project so that approved material must be used as mentioned in the project specification for quality assurance.

5.Installation of material like switches, sockets, 3x3 GI boxes etc., included for Power system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.Supervise and monitor installation of cables, cable tray, GI trunking, GI conduit for lighting & power layout, distribution control panel, all electrical equipment, and grounding system.

2.Responsible for all electrical low voltage and extra low voltage inspections related to installations, T&C of the project.

3.Preparation of Method statements, ITP (Inspection test plan), MAR (Material Approval Request).

4.Prepare weekly Progress report, Surveillance reports, Non-conformance reports and verification of CARS.

5.To submit Inspection Requests in coordination with concerned site/project engineers.

6.Prepare daily QA/QC report regarding inspections, material, and Non-Conformances.

7.Check the drawings and documents used at site for approvals and compliance with project requirements.

8.Ensure that all works are carried out as per the approved method statements and drawings.

9.Assist/Coordinate the preparation of the final handing over documents such as QA/QC documents, T&C reports etc.

10.To conduct inspection of all ongoing activities for electrical installations like LV cables, cable testing such as (Continuity test & Insulation resistance test).

11.To conduct inspections for all electrical material deliveries.

12.To attend all electrical inspections with client/contractor representatives.

13.Preparing submittals to obtain the approvals of materials from consultant and client.
