Monitor, expedite and review EPC Contractor’s change order and claim submittals, data and progress calculations and provide recommendation to ensure that the aforesaid can be properly formalized and administered.

Evaluate claims received from Contractors and process Variation Orders, if required.

Assess the situation when cumulative value under Contract reaches 80 % of estimated Contract value to ensure funds are available to avoid overrun of Contract value. If required, initiate prompt and immediate action to avoid overrun of Contract.

Prepare notices and other correspondence for signature by Client in accordance with the requirements of the EPC Contracts, as applicable.

Review of Claims, Disputes, assist Company in Site Liaison Procedures (SLMs) and Senior Management Negotiations (SRNs)

Maintain an up to date claims/dispute log and issue a monthly report to Client.

Perform a variety of cost engineering functions including cost control, cost analysis, cost trending, budget preparations, cost forecasting and cost reporting.

Study and understand all relevant project documents relating to the cost management of allocated project.

Preparation of AFE (Authorization of Expenditure) and OPEX Budget of KJO Group.

Points out area of cost overrun, investigates and recommends corrective action.

Activities performed included preparation of tender documents, review of Scope of Work or Services, Schedule of Pricing, Technical Specifications, initiating the tender, identify the suitable Procurement Strategy, acquire relevant approvals to proceed with Tender, evaluating technical and unpriced commercial bids, recommending award, administrating, supervising and controlling the agreements / contracts till close-out by ensuring the fulfillment of all contractual obligations.

Initiate and process Direct Orders (Service Orders / Minor Works Contracts) when the nature of Services / Works were well defined, not complicated, having low risks and for shorter periods within the financial threshold limits of one million riyals. Wood Group (former Amec Foster Wheeler) – Worked as part of KNPC’s Clean Fuels Project (CFP) Project Management Consultant Team for MAA EPC Package. KNPC’s Clean Fuels Project is a major upgrade and expansion of the Mina Al-Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah Refineries to increase their combined throughput by 264,000 barrels per stream day to 800,000 barrels per stream day. The objective is to increase conversion of fuel oil to higher value products in order to meet expected market demand and tighter specifications (one percent) for the sulphur content of transportation of fuels. CFP is a “Mega-Project” with a Total Installed Cost of the order of USD 14 Billion and MAA Package around USD 4.500 Billion. The MAA package comprised of 15 Licensor packages including two parallel plants of new Sulphur Recovery Unit to be installed at MAA Refinery of KNPC. MAA EPC package included Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of two SRU plants to process feeds containing 400 MTPD of Sulphur licensed by Shell. BPD of condensate transferred from the Dorra Offshore Facilities in a multi-phase 24” single pipeline. The Onshore Processing Facilities in Kuwait also includes four licensor packages viz. SRU

(Sulphur Recovery Unit), AGSU (Acid Gas Condensate Unit), ACSU (Acid Condensate Sweetening Unit) & MEGU (Mono Ehtylene Glycol Unit). Tenders were floated for all Licensor packages including SRU, bids received, subsequently evaluated Techno-Commercially for the plant life period and Licensor Units were awarded to successful Licensors as envisaged in FEED. / Agreement for all the licensed packages were completed and PDP was delivered to Company in order to progress for the EPC Tender Process. Subsequently, Dorra Field Development Project was put “On-Hold” due to difference between stake holders on the “stock-split”. All Licensor packages were consequently terminated after mutually agreeing with Licensors. In addition, Assets Management (Khafji) Group executed an EPC project to transport Kuwait share of 140 MMSCF (sour and sweet) and 7000 BPD of condensate currently being flared at KJO. The Project included the Construction of Process Facilities at Khafji, a transit 12” offshore pipe line from Khafji to Al-Zour to transport the gas condensate and onshore receiving Facilities including an AGRP plant at Al-Zour. The Group has also undertaken few Consultancy Services related to Oil Migration, Reserves Calculation and misc. FEED related to OPF-DFD Project. Saint-Gobain Glass Egypt - Project involves construction of a new glass plant for Saint Gobain Glass Egypt at Ain Sokhna (Cairo), Egypt. The construction of plant includes Furnace, Float Bath, Annealing Lehr, Warehouse, Chimney, Batch plant, Cullet yard, Sewage Treatment Plant, Heavy Fuel tank farm, Cooling Towers and Pipe line utilities. The main works associated with the plant was executed under Lump Sum EPC contract and the utilities were implemented through unit rate Contract based on BOQ.

Foster Wheeler Arabia Ltd. - The project includes developing a world class refining and petrochemical complex at the site of existing Rabigh Refinery. The contract “Utilities and off sites

(Umbrella)” will include steam, power generation, water, sea water, cooling water, air, nitrogen, waste water and effluent treatment, flare, feedstock, intermediate and product tankage, and a variety of buildings. The package was executed based on the Contractual unit rates and compensated based on the actual quantities of work performed by Contractors unit / system wise. Uhde India Ltd. - Execution of Hydrogen and Nitrogen gas plant for Thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India Pvt. Ltd. at Nashik, Maharastra on LSTK basis including License, Know-how and detailed engineering, supply, construction and commissioning. Licensor supply the proprietary equipment and packaged units under the Contract. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Commissioning activities were performed by Licensor’s subcontractors on unit rate basis. Saint-Gobain Glass India Ltd. - Project involves construction of a new glass plant for Saint Gobain Glass India Ltd at Sriperumbudur (Chennai), Tamil Nadu. The construction of plant includes Furnace, Float Bath, Annealing Lehr, Warehouse, Chimney, Batch plant, Cullet yard, Sewage Treatment Plant DG building, Heavy Fuel tank farm, Coater bay, Cooling Towers and Pipe line utilities. The approximate project cost is 850 Crores (In Indian Rupees). The main works associated with the plant was executed under Lump sum EPC contract and the utilities were implemented through unit rate Contract based on BOQ.

Gulf House of Trade Doha, Qatar - Job including laying of Ductile from Pipes of Sizes 900mm, 600mm, 400mm, and 300mm. The project includes construction of chambers for Air valves, Washouts and Sluice valves. Laid pipes were grit blasted, Bituminous coated and wrapped with bituminous corrosion projection tape. Bunds were constructed over the laid pipeline to have a minimum cover of 1.2 meters. The job also includes reinstatement of Bituminous Macadam surfaces and carriage ways where it has crossed during its execution. The works were performed based on the Contractual unit rates with KAHRAMAA, and compensated for the actual quantities of work accomplished and measured on monthly basis.

Ltd, India - Job included, construction of bridge across river Pampa with 8 span of length 20mtrs. Open foundation were built in hard strata. Sub structure consists of Double – D shaped piers. Longitudinal girders were supported over pier caps. Top slab was also casted along with longitudinal beams. Top finishing coat of asphalt concrete was laid over the slab.

G S Jain & Associates Pvt. Ltd. - Standard penetration test was conducted to confirm the depth of rock strata. 90% of the piles were designed as end bearing piles. In the absence of hard strata piles were designed for load transfer by friction. Bored cast-in-site piles were constructed for transmission tower lines. 8 piles were casted for each transmission tower. Each two piles were connected together with pile caps. Bottom stub of towers were installed with pile cap. Casted piles were randomly load tested for settlement.
