Duties and Responsibilities:

oSupervised territory accounts and closely monitored other security officers at those various accounts by mobile vehicle

oPatrol a specified area

oGive information to pedestrians and motorists; check for company violations; direct traffic

oRespond to radio calls and investigate complaints, disturbances, collisions, administers first aid in emergencies

oWatch for suspicious cars, curfew violators and wanted persons; make arrests for violations of company laws, ordinances, policies and procedures

oServe warrants and subpoenas as a certified Process Server for Shelby County; make appearances in court

oHelp investigate some conditions hazardous to life or property; may assist law enforcement in some conditions; collect and preserve evidence

oWrite reports, read bulletins, orders and implement indicated changes as appropriate; testify in court if necessary

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Work normally consists of routine tasks performed according to department rules, procedures and department regulations. Receive general and special instructions and able to act without direct supervision.
