DUTIES

Works Engineering and Construction Supervision (Construction Management) : In Construction period consisting of inspection, coordination meeting, evaluation of work accomplishments including claims for payments submitted by the Contractor, cost evaluation of changes in the work, maintaining pertinent office and jobsite record and files/data. Conduct Inspection and Site Meetings.

Evaluation submitted Bar-Chart or Work Schedules by the Contractor and make some recommendation. Make value engineering if necessary.

Samples and Test Procedures / Results.

Undertake cost evaluation of the Contractor’s extras and credits corresponding to additions and deletions brought by changes in the work.

Prepare Work Schedule Evaluation and Reports.

Measure and evaluate completed work and submit recommendation on claims for progress payments submitted by Contractors.

Require the Contractors to submit shop drawings whenever necessary for approval by the Architect or Engineer prior to start the work.

Review As-Built plan submitted by Contractor upon completion of works to ensure correctness and accuracy of the same.

Determine final completion and provide written notice to the Owner and Architect that the work is ready for final inspections. Turn-over to the Owner all keys, manuals, record drawings and maintenance stocks. Coordinate with the Architect and Contractors regarding clarifications on plans and specifications and other matters to ensure expeditious performance and the completion of work. Maintain office and jobsite records and file on the project. Provide assistance to the Owner’s purchasing personnel thru review of proposals on the owner-supplied materials and equipment to verify conformity to project specifications prior to purchase of the same. If required, assist the Owner on selecting and retaining professional services of a surveyor, special consultants and testing laboratories.

With the Owner’s maintenance personnel, direct the checkout of utilities, operational systems and equipment for readiness and assist in their initial start-up and testing. Aluminum and Glazing Systems: In glass and aluminum installation is to assist the Construction / Project Manager in completion of assigned projects related to installation of aluminum and glazing works by improving the installation effectiveness; following day by day activities and programs; supervising all onsite activities and ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and timely completion of the project. In-charge of executing aluminum and glazing works sites; dealing with Consultants and Contractors with head office for action; in charge in teams up to 50 people that include foreman who report directly to site engineer. Able to coordinate with Site Surveyors and implement their reports during erection works; take charge of raising all site related correspondences with the contractor and be able to produce reports of site and relay directly with management. Registered Civil Engineer (Professional Regulation Commission, Republic of the Philippines) / Registration No. 0150587.

Knowledge of contract technical specifications and their implementation. Familiar with relevant civil engineering software e.g. AUTOCAD, SKETCHUP Promoting the highest standards of safety on jobsite at all times. Pricing, quoting and estimate for evaluation of accomplishment. Computer literate with MS OFFICE (Power Point/Publisher/Excel/Word). Writing accuracy technical reports.
