13. Involve in failure analysis of parts at In Process or other In - house process. 1. Involved in Induction Hardening of Shift Gear Rail at various locations by means of low frequency machine for M/s Daimler India Commercial Vehicle.

To establish the process various trials and coil designs were modified along with M/s EFD Machines. Found difficulty in pattern formation and achievement of required case depth. With full involvement and efforts we stabilized and solve the issues.

2. In 16MnCr5 grade material we face the issues in Prior Austenitic Grain Size coarsening from customer end. Here we had a challenging opportunity to obtain the required grain size. For that we made lot of trials to control the grain size. And we tried a new trial of Niobium added to existing 16MnCr5 Grade to control grain size where we get the result. In existing Heat Treated parts also with help of some trials we controlled the grain size. Er.SURENDHAR P

1. Spheroidization annealing processed parts have various issues at blanking stage, We are analyzing the root cause and studies were taken to solve the issue.

2. Eddy current inspection for Case Hardened parts are inspecting from exist. Additionally for Induction Hardening of Shift Gear Rail with four different profiles is allowed eddy current method inspection by means of scanning type coil to inspect hardening area.
