Abstract

A Study on comparison of genome of homo sapiens & pan troglodytes (Chimpanzee) in phylogenetic tree.

DESCRIPTION:-

The study explores the placement of humans and chimpanazee in mammalian phylogenetic tree. Fossils of chimpanzee ancestors indicate that they have lived a land. This study builds a phylogenetic tree with DNA sequence of myoglobin, cox1 and rhodopsin from humans and other mammals. Clustal omega was used for multiple sequence alignment tool. Phylogeny.fr was used for phylogenetic analysis. We found that closest relatives to humans are chimpanzee as indicated by the gene phylogeny. Education:
