• As part of the Sci Apps support team, was regarded as an IT Owner for over 105 separate scientific applications that assist chemists and biologists in their work attempting to find cures for cancer and inflammatory illnesses.
• Responsible for the server environments, application health, and technical support of all scientific applications.
• A mix of server-client, 3rd party hosted, locally installed, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS varieties.
• Most were Windows based applications but there were a handful of Linux (Red Hat) as well as a growing number of Cloud-based applications.
• Accountable for all aspects of the SDLC as it pertains to these applications including performance monitoring, patch application and testing, as well as Change Management and Asset Tracking duties.
• Worked as customer advocate to bring customer requirements to the vendor; applying upgrades, patches, and enhancements as needed.
• As part of Celgene's IT Team, my role was a Tier 3 support role. Issues were often escalated to me from other groups and lower tiers, especially when it was time to involve the vendor.
• Within the first 3 months of working at Celgene, saved the company $1.5 million by reconciling application licenses for a single application (ELN - laboratory notebook).

WORK EXPERIENCE
December 2012 to March 2015
-Provided level 2 application support for Solar Turbines' Workforce Management software (WFM). This was an ongoing world-wide rollout; my customers were mostly remote workers (oil rigs, mining camps, power production stations) located throughout the world.
-Duties included single-point-of-contact support (email, phone, chat, off-hours support), account creation, providing remote desktop support, validating and testing application defects, and providing user training. Applications Support Analyst
Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW) - San Diego, CA 2010 to 2012
• Responsible for the support of all clinical applications covering two administration buildings, 19 health centers, one call center, and an internal laboratory (approximately 500 employees total). -The focus was on the NextGen suite of products
(EHR, EPM, ICS) as well as all associated interfaces and modules including HL7 interfaces, e-prescribing, advanced auditing utility, medical summary utility, and four laboratory interfaces.
• Became PPPSW's Meaningful Use subject matter expert (SME), moving PPPSW past Stage 1 of Meaningful Use. For Stage 1 achievement, PPPSW received approximately $1.5 million in federal funds.
• As part of the applications team, was integral in organization rollout, implementation, and training of NextGen EHR, EPM, and ICS.
• Installed a version of NextGen EHR (version 5.6) which allowed the organization to apply for Federal Meaningful Use funds (part of HITECH Act). Also allowed PPPSW to go almost completely paperless, saving the company thousands of dollars in paper scanning costs.
• Instrumental in keeping our production environment up to date with the most recent templates, patches, medical standards and guidelines. Performed upgrades to our testing, development, and historical databases.
• Processed customer requests for product enhancements, worked on the customer's behalf to make sure that our vendors met all specifications.
