TITLE: ANALYSIS OF SHAFT FAILURE IN CENTRIFUGAL PUMP IN PAPER INDUSTRY

OBJECTIVE: The main objective of this project is to study shaft failure analysis in centrifugal pump and to find out the root cause failure of pump shaft used in paper mill industry Description: These major causes of the failure of the shaft are due to impulse force. Radial force and impeller weight. The failure of shaft can be avoided increasing the diameter of the shaft or by changing the material properties of the shaft, so after analyzing the cause of the shaft failure, here we suggest that shaft material be changed from SS316 to SS304.
