Having 15 Years of progressive experience (Includes Plant turn-around shutdown experience) in the field of Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Process Piping, Pipeline and Oil Tankage in Petrochemical Refineries; Oil & Gas and LNG Plants construction. Well experienced in welding inspections in Process Piping, Pipeline and Oil tankage and in-service inspection. Major Projects worked in India, Singapore, Qatar and Kuwait.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering (2003) from Madras University, Chennai.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (PIPING)

Inspection & Monitoring all QA/QC activities as per ITP with respect to; Fit up and weld visual inspection, NDT, PWHT, Hardness testing, PMI, final line punching, Hydro & Pneumatic test package line inspection, QC Documentation.

Inspection of shop fabrication of piping spools and supports.

Ensure installation of piping is in compliance with isometric drawings with respect to; material, alignment, supports, valve type, valve orientation.

Ensure operation of flange management system to include correct flange class, flange type, alignment, gasket, orifice plate, bolts, washers, nuts, bolt torque.

Line check prior to pressure test, ensuring provision of additional supports when required, spring hangers are locked, instruments, orifice plates and equipment are isolated or removed, blind flanges are correctly rated and certified, valves removed or isolated, vent and drain valves installed.

Prepare punch list prior to pressure test, categorize items, ensure all A-items cleared prior to pressure test.

Review pressure test packages as per P&ID, Isometric drawings, test limit drawings and all related documents and witnessing pressure/leak testing.

Witness pressure test, ensure gauges and recorders are within valid calibration, line flushed, vented and filled. Monitor pressure and sign off records.

Preparing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Quality Control Procedures (QCP).

Preparing and reviewing WPS and PQR as per project scope.

Witnessing welder test and prepare the welder ID card and certificates.

If any construction activity is violating the standard requirement immediately tell the construction representative to take necessary action. If appropriate action not taken then a Non-Conformance report being issued.

Coordination with the field sub contractors and the third party NDT inspection companies.

Interpretation of Radiographic film by following codes ASME SEC IX( QW 191 ), ASME SEC VIII DIV1, (APPENDIX 4, UW 51), ASME B 31.3 ( Table 341.3.2 ), API 1104 (9.3).

Inspection and testing of valves (Ball valves, Gate valves & Check valves) as per API.

Maintain the weld history sheet for piping.
