Before standardization of the cross-PLM product
thorough study of product were carried out.
Which included study of existing material grades,
design specification, criticality based its usage i.e. subsea / nonsubsea, traceability requirements,
Industrial standard practices, manufacturing
methods, Aker and International specification;
documentation requirements as per current
SDRLs & DNV RP O101 for particular product
type.
Also involved in, reviewing existing
X-PLM: Standardization of at least two products-
Standardize all the material numbers used in
ongoing project
■ Agreed with partner on when the milestone and
updated data in SAP using ECR process
■ Mass uploaded in SAP and followed effective
out procedure for obsolete of duplicate materials
X-PLM: Take Responsibility/Accountability of
Product
Used Engineering Change (EC) process and
shifted SAP material from KOPM classification to
MaCS. It also involved review of existing
characteristics, compared with the new
characteristics, performed clean-up of
characteristics, removed wrongly classified
materials, assigned MIR to the materials and
moved materials to MaCS after approved by me &
global owner (if any).
Took full accountability of the Standardized
product, reviewed NCRs, pre-production
documents, helped buyers and suppliers in
Technical queries
■ standardization of documentation
• Minimized documentation from suppliers
(based on DNVGL RP O101)
• Minimized witness points
■ As advisor: Helped design team to select correct product
• As technical reference on POs: Handling
suppliers queries more efficiently and correctly
■ • Increased efficiency in Project Execution
• Reduction in Price
• Improved Inventory Management
• Increased Product Quality
• Trust on Products

Abstract
Composite plates made of braided composites have low elastic modulus compared to conventional metal plates. This low elastic modulus of ensures only a part of load is transferred through composite plate. It is necessary to calculate magnitudes of strains induced in composite plate system subjected to loading. The results from stress–strain curves of the composite indicate that at 1% strain, there is no danger of fibre and matrix separation. The suitability of a braided carbon–epoxy composite for composite plate application is studied.
