KEAR CIVIL CORP. Phoenix, AZ – Contract Hire

Project Manager. Renovation and upgrade of Delta Airlines Jet Fuel Storage Facility in Memphis, TN. Consisting of re-commissioning three 30,000 gal above ground jet fuel storage tanks by replacing cathodic protection, tank bottoms, floating domes seals, fill and discharge piping valves and filtration systems. Removal of lead based paint, remediation of contaminated soils,Two New Fueling Stations, Replacement of Oil Water Separator, installation of New Storm Drain System, and AFFF Fire Suppression Systems.

Railway Maintenance & Logistics - Nesbit, MS. – Contract Hire

Field Operations Manager: Negotiated a lump sum design build contract with architects, engineers, and sub contractors, to build a $7.5 million dollar car shop facility for CN Railroad. As field construction manager I had total profit and loss responsibilities.

I managed a staff consisting of an administration assistant, four heavy equipment operators, four laborers and mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractors.

Poag & McEwen, Memphis TN.

Tenant Coordinator. Developed scope and budget estimates for stake holders, tenants, and negotiated contracts with contractors for the build-out of leased spaces. Reviewed and approved tenant plans and specifications to insure that they were in compliance with state, local and landlord requirements. Conducted site visits to monitor the quality of work, percentage of completion and resolve any construction issues that may occur.

Construction Quality Manager. Managed the Quality and Safety Program for the replacement of over 1.5 Million Square Feet of structure and roofing on warehouse, offices, and housing, for the Post Katrina Reconstruction of The United States Navy Construction Battalion Base in Gulf Port MS., Commissary Remodel Project at Barksdale AFB, Bossier City, LA .and the installation of a Metal Roofing System on a high rise condo in Biloxi, MS.

Construction Manager. In conjunction with store planning, real-estate, and engineering, I managed the remodeling, relocation, and construct ion of Wal-Mart and SAM’S Club stores in the southeast region. I reviewed vendor qualifications, compiled bid requests, and conducted on-site pre-bid meetings to review contractors bid documents, to clarify the scope of work, schedule of values, critical path schedule, to insure all of the contract documents were in order. I conducted pre-construction meetings with the general contractors, sub-contractors and all local, state and regulatory parties involved. I had total project responsibility from out to bid, owner occupancy and through the first year of warranty

AEROTEK / United Technologies Corp - Memphis, TN – Contract Hire

Construction Manager. As the owners on-site construction manager I successfully managed the scope, schedule and budget for a $150 million dollar, 850,000 sq. ft. design build ground out plant expansion project built on an EPA Super Fund Site in Collierville, TN. Directed weekly meetings with the Clients EHS Director, EPA, Tennessee Environment and Conservation, to value engineer methods used to effectively handle, test and remediate materials removed during demolition of existing buildings and structures that contained lead, asbestos, and TCE. Led team efforts in onsite remediation, which contributed to considerable savings in eliminating the transporting of contaminated soils and other construction materials to a certified landfill. Applied value engineering to other aspects of the project not only to save money but to trim weeks off of the schedule to complete the project within budget and on time.

As superintendant I directed the activities of sub contractors on commercial design build projects, consisting of tenant build outs, IT/Data Centers, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Schools, Casino’s, Retail Shopping Centers, Office Interiors, and Multi-story Office Buildings to insure that they adhered to the project scope, specifications, schedule, and quality standards. I also conducted onsite safety audits to insure that the jobsite was in compliance with OSHA Safety Standards.
