Experienced and dedicated surgical nurse working in main theatres at Charing cross hospital, one of the main hospitals within Imperial College Trust in London. very outgoing person and able to work well within a team. A compassionate, professional, highly motivated and currently working within the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and local trust guidelines and policies.

Having been working as a surgical nurse for over two years, helped me to work in cooperation with a competent surgical team in order to deliver optimum holistic care to patients. Part of this objective is to be a patient’s advocate for health concerns and at the same time perform clinical skills such as health assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, interventions, accurate evaluation and communication of findings with the entire operative team.

WORK EXPERIENCE

1.Charing Cross Hospital in London (September 2018 – present):

Carry out a wide range of duties to care for, support, patients before, during and after the surgical phase including:

Making sure that the operating room is ready and adequate before starting any surgical operation.

Maki sure that the surgical and patient details are recorded accurately on the computer.

Ability to work in emergency theatre during night, weekends and on-call rotations.

Preparing the operating theatre and making sure that all the necessary surgical equipment such as, microscopes, lasers and endoscopes are available in the theatre if needed before starting any procedure.

Working with the surgeons to provide instruments, needles, swabs and other surgical materials as required

Maintaining the sterility of the surgical field at all time.

Responsibility for the surgical instruments, equipment and swabs counts.

Act as a link between the surgical team and other parts of the theatre and hospital.

taking patients to recovery with the anaesthetist and handing over to the recovery team.

Listening and talking to patients during local anaesthetic procedures and making sure that the patient is pain free and as comfortable and safe as possible

2.Oxford University Trust hospitals: John Radcliff hospital (January 2016 – May 2018)

worked with an agency called NHSP as a health care assistant in Patient transfer lounge and respiratory theatre in John Radcliff hospital:

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

I love doing all kinds of team sports, especially football, basketball and swimming. I always enjoy meeting new people from different cultures. I also like watching movies and reading books for which Sherlock Holmes is my favourite character of all time.
