Professional Summary:
I have been a professional planner and transportation planner using GIS for the past 20 years. With a background in traffic engineering, community planning and professional coursework in GIS, I have developed the skills to work effectively with planners and engineers alike. My work history with county and regional governments have included significant GIS work, covering land use, environmental and resource data collection and extensive map development for both public and private purposes. I have significant experience in travel demand modeling, GIS, community planning, and regional comprehensive planning, all of which require the use and manipulation of extensive databases.
My employment history has been highly focused on GIS, it has been a tool that I use on a regular basis, and I enjoy the work. I have professional GIS training, but more importantly I have real world experience in the application of GIS in the transportation industry and the natural environment. From mapping hiking trails through the mountains using GPS, to collecting travel times for traffic analysis and mapping land use and assets for government agencies.
