Nurse Practitioner Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY May 2020 - Current Post Anesthesia Care Unit– Collaborating with multiple surgical teams to recover patients after various oncological surgeries and procedures in adults and children. Using their history and physical exam to anticipate and manage pain, hemodynamics, PONV and other complications in the immediate post-operative period. Recovering patients in various states of health and acuity, from discharge home to critical care management and surgical emergencies.

Northwestern Medical Group – Orthopedic Sports Medicine – Chicago, IL

- Collecting detailed health histories and focused physical assessments on patients with orthopedic and sports related injuries. Performing orthopedic maneuvers to tease out and develop differential diagnoses. Developing patient centered care plans, ordering and reviewing imaging. Prescribing medications and treatment plans for pain management including administration of intra-articular injections. Referral and workup to orthopedic surgeons if indicated with post-surgical management and follow-up.

- Under the supervision of a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, caring for patients from infancy to early adulthood Performing well physical, school and sports examinations. Diagnose, management of illnesses and disorders that occur in childhood, including some congenital disorders such as Tetralogy of Fallot; skin disorders, asthma and respiratory infections; endocrine disorders; obesity and eating disorders and others. -Working under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner and a Medical Doctor to assess, diagnose and manage patients with chronic illnesses and exacerbations of those illnesses. Collecting HPI, ROS, physical exam and building differential diagnoses and treatment plans for acute illness. Initial assessment and reassessment of medication adherence and needs. Procedural skills acquired include, incision and drainage, suture removal, cyst aspiration, intra-articular joint injections, cryotherapy, x-ray interpretation and suturing.
