Project Coordinator/GIS Analyst: CEMS Engineering and Architecture June 2019-Present

Chattanooga Feasibility Study

Located information such as flood plain, bus stops, and cultural information to be used in creating maps for the feasibility study document.

Created maps that were utilized in the feasibility documents.

Ft. Jax Stormwater pipeline Study

Located watershed data for the project.

Separated pipelines into designated watershed sites.

Exported reports from ESRI so that engineers could perform a quality check of the pipelines.

IST GIS Analyst: Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (Colorado State University) January 2015-May 2018

Joint Base Charleston IST Environmental Geodatabase Project

Managed environmental and cultural GIS data for all bases falling under the Joint Base Charleston IST including Arnold AFB, TN, Shaw AFB, SC, and Joint Base Charleston, SC.

Gathered all the existing environmental data and cultural data that was present for all three bases.

Performed a data-gap analysis of the data to determine what data was applicable to the base and whether that data was present in spatial form and if so, what condition it was in.

Wrote twelve standard operating procedures for transitioning the present environmental GIS data into SDSFIE 3.1 format and for how to proceed with filling the gaps in their data.

Standardized all data into a SDSFIE 3.1 database.

Worked on filling data gaps which included performing tasks such as: georeferencing maps and as-builts, digitizing data, performing spatial analysis, and utilizing GPS units.

Ensured that attribution was completed and standardized under SDSFIE 3.1 regulations through thorough research of Air Force documentation including various project surveys, utilization of AF authoritative resources, and program manager’s field documentation.

Completed and validated metadata to meet FGDC standards.

Provided GIS support for base and IST staff including but not limited to: mapping, spatial analysis, providing information support for data requests from contractors, creating non-SDSFIE compliant feature classes to hold data, providing reporting, providing publishable maps for report documentation, and aiding with product installation and licensing.

Provided semi-annual presentation to each base on the status of their data and to address any concerns or questions.

Managed relationships with over sixty-one program managers in order to facilitate successful cooperation with the project and GIS support.

FEM Asset Creation

Sediment Testing for Folly Beach Re-nourishment Project

Exported out bore-hole information from sediment testing paperwork and published and refilled it.

IWR Project (Galveston Harbor and Channel, Houston Shipping Channel, Sabine-Neches Waterway, Texas City Channel, Mobile Harbor, C and LW Rivers Below Vancouver, WA, Columbia River at the Mouth, Pascagoula Harbor, Charleston Harbor, Seattle Harbor)

Updated waterway network line to make sure it was centered within the channel.

In order to create new economic segments to be used in building a transportation and cost analysis report, snipped waterway network lines based on various requirements (navigation channel footprint, depth, terminal location and usage, shoaling rates, spatial convergence of two or more channels).

Updated the various attribute tables and the business tables with provided information.

Real Estate Project (Winyah Bay to Charleston)

Georeferenced coastal plats dating from 1934 to present day imagery.

Located and digitized parcel data taken from REMIS.

Calculated acreage and modified the features so that the difference in acreage provided by Remis and that provided by ESRI was <1%.

Built topology rules and completed a topology check of the information fixing any issues in topology that were present.

Updated attribute table with information on parcels provided by the plats and REMIS.

Philippine Mapping Project

Created a geodatabase of all the known roads within the Philippines by digitizing off of online mapping sites, tourists’ maps, historic maps, etc.

Located and digitized all governmental boundaries for the Philippines.

Clipped all the roads to the postal code level boundary, the city level boundary, and the barangay level boundary and created a centroid for each road part.

Appended extensive spatial information to each road part and centroid including: Road Name, Country, Country Code, Island Group, Region, Region Number, Province, Alternative Province Name, City, Alternative City Name, Barangay, Alternative Barangay Name, Postal Code Number, and Postal Code Name.

Created a database of various other types of Philippine locational information (businesses, hospitals, schools, attractions, natural areas, etc.) and appended address information from roadways and track ways.

Was requested personally by the US government to provide this database for use in aiding the Philippines after their natural disaster.

GE Geocoding

Aided in checking and assigning geocode accuracy for batches of business points that fall within countries where it is harder to provide address information.

City Maps Geocoding

Aided in geocoding batches of business points for City Maps prior to the company going live.

Performed checks on geocoded data to ensure accuracy.

CTI Tower Mapping Project

Retrieved cell tower and antenna information for client.

Consolidated information pertaining to the antennas/towers into a single file geodatabase.

Utilized ESRI ArcInfo 10.2 to process data in order to perform requested spatial statistics and to prepare data for mapping including: reprojection, converting coordinate notation, splitting features by attribute, clipping, buffering, conversions (feature class to geodatabase, feature class to feature class), near, generate near table, point distance measurements, spider diagrams (ET Geowizards add-in tool) append, merge, spatial join, and join.

Utilized ESRI ArcInfo 10.2 Model Builder to carry out batch processes.

Produced over 300 technical maps with matching statistical charts providing information on competitive cell tower distributions.

US National Guard: 3D Modeling of National Guard Barracks (Camp Clay, GA, Jackson Barracks, Hammond AASF, Baton Rouge AFRC, and Beauregard, LA)

Utilized Mars7 software to process both aerial and ground-based lidar point clouds for the creation of DEMs and DTMs and to retrieve structure footprints.

Utilized Spatial Factory software to acquire elevation, footprint, measurement, building appearances, and locations of utility structures and fence lines.

Formatted multi-patch objects out of footprint information for future spatial analysis use including but not limited to line of sight analysis and view shed analysis.

Used Google Sketchup Pro 8 to create 3D models of over 200 buildings, storage sheds, picnic structures, utility objects, and signs on base.

Used ESRI ArcScene 10 and ArcGlobe 10 to create a 3D rendering of the base landscape containing structural models and landscape DEMs.

Created a SDSFIE compliant database for each base according to both federal and state standards.

Completed basic GIS tasks including editing, georeferencing, map creation, data gathering and data-entry.

Digitized relevant information from aerial photographs of the bases and landscape and included the information in the databases and 3D models.

Downloaded, differentially corrected, and mapped weekly GPS data gathered by field crews.

Gathered and created topographical data needed for the study area (i.e. hydrography, roads, rail, contours, boundaries, etc.)

Created and populated the ‘Corps Map’ geodatabase based upon the Department of Defense SDSFIE cultural database model (Districts: Louisville, Norfolk, Pittsburgh, New England, Baltimore, St. Louis, Philadelphia District, Buffalo District)

Created contours for each area based upon DEM data provided by the state.

Built technical maps showing GPS and Total Station information gathered from the field to state government and Army Corps specifications for documentation.

Mapped the no longer existent historic buildings in the Green Area for Delaware’s Cultural Resource Management.
