Project Name : Experimental and Numerical analysis on Mechanical properties of carbon-phenolic composites
Team Size & Role : 4 & Team member

Description:
We prepared the composite with carbon fiber and phenolic resin. The tensile properties of C – Ph composite has been obtained form the tensile test that was done onthe specimens in the MTS Landmark Fatigue Testing Machine.The Numerical results of the tensile, fatigue and flexural tests are obtained by the computational analysisof our Carbon – Ph material, which is done by giving the tensile properties of the material as the inputsin the software.From the results, we came to a conclusion that the numerical tensile test result which is the maximumload experienced by the model
Contribution:
As a team member, I taken the responsibility of the whole project that have to complete in given time. As I did the good coordination with the teammates to gather the full information about the project and the testing and analysis of whole project was done with the help of our gide. Project Name : Design of 6-Seater business jet Aircraft Team Size : 2
Duration : 12 Months (6th and 7th semesters)
Description:
In the first six months, we have calculated weight estimation, powerplant selection, airfoil selection and wing design parameters, done the performance analysis of the aircraft during landing and take-off. In the next six months, by taking the values obtained in the first set as input, the load factors during various phases of flight is calculated and the V-n maneuver diagram is drawn. The load distribution of wing in using schrenk’s curve method was found which is very sufficient for the design requirements. We used pratt and whitney canada Pw 545c Enginehaving trust of 3952lbs and take off weight 6123 kg.Hence Aircraft has been designed with various performance and aerodynamic parameters calculation, which can carry upto 6 members with all the facilities inside.
