Vascular Wellness program for the Veterans being developed with support of the Telehealth initiative at Phoenix VA and Northern Arizona VA Systems-initiated planning in Jan 2010 and is ongoing project currently due to staffing changes in Prescott system.

VA Vascular connection – initiated with Dr Pounds at San Antonio VA VA Vascular email grouper now with over 100 vascular surgeons around the country, Initiated Share drive within VA system for sharing ideas and information and processes. Starting email groups for vascular techs and midlevels this year. All this with the idea of sharing best practices

Implementation of vascular lab structured reporting system with integration with CPRS requiring interactions and planning with multiple service lines including both local and regional IT, biomedical service and Clinical informatics

Implementation of new heparin protocols to improve patient safety while on heparin drips

Ongoing Teleheath project for our Veterans in remote locations to improve access to care with interactions with multiple service lines across two VA campuses
