Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Head of Production, Maintenance and Logistics

2. Directly Reporting to the Unit Head (General Manager). 3. Lead Internal Auditor of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System as well as coordinator of the Quality Review Committee meetings.

4. Responsible for ‘End to end operations of the unit (Pre-press, Press, Post-press, Maintenance & Utilities, QA, Dispatch & Mailing and Customer-coordination) by managing a workforce of around 200 employees.

5. Handling of all government liasioning related to plant operation 6 Planning and control of executing the job orders. Ensuring completion of all procedural activities of production process.

7 Delegating and supervising of all departments through supervisors to maintain the standard of quality production controls and Products quality, Inspection and services 8 Manpower planning for departments, machines, shifts through supervisors. Motivating operations personnel to produce optimum quality and quantity. 9 Planning for machine spares and consumables along with manpower for preventive and breakdown maintenance work. Raising timely indents for raw materials, consumables, spare parts and check status to avoid delays.

10 Setting up of targets and standards for the performance of staff and workers for better results and high quality production. Planning and execution for deliveries of completed jobs. 11 Time and motion study for achieving production targets and set up bench mark for production incentives for increasing of production targets. Control on completion & submission of daily and weekly production reports & MIS report to the management. 12 Checking weekly and monthly stock status through Stores to maintain optimum stock level and avoid dead stock of materials.

13 Outsource work co-ordinations with outsourced printers for the process of printing, lamination, UV coating and die cutting operations. Manual operation for binding operation (vendor development) and piece rate negotiations.

14 Coordination with postal department for mailing operation and vendor activities of manual insertion of magazine into poly envelope.

15 Identifying special projects and employees training and coordinating training sessions. 16 In-charge of Periodical testing of pressure vessels, liasioning with Inspector of Factories submission of reports and returns.

17 Liasioning with TNPCB authorities and complied with statutory provisions. 18 Member of Safety Committee. Identifying the Safety norms to the Employees and ensuring wearing it. Recommendations to the Management about safety lacunas in the production unit. 19 Forecasting of Employees issues and informing the management in daily Works Meeting and be a member in solving it across the table in consulting with unit head along with personnel department. Achievements

1. Cold-set printing was done in Heat-set printing machine with standardised material of ink and fountain solution.

2. 35,00,000 Atlas books for TN government delivered within a record one month’s time. 3. Jesus calls true friend 8-page booklet done through online glue system on web machine. 4. 6,00,000 calendars (Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanam, 2015) with wiro-binding delivered on time. 5. 5S Implementation (Internal Quality standards ofThomson Press) of entire unit. 6. 1. Thomson Press India Ltd. Chennai From 03.02.06. Working as Manager. I am responsible for the end to end operations of Pre-press, Press, Post-press, Maintenance, Utilities, QA, Dispatch & Mailing and Customer-coordination.

3. EMIRATEPRINTING PRESS LLC. Dubai, U.A.E From 28.06.2002 to 10.05.2005.Worked as Production Supervisor. On hands experience:- ROTOMAN heat-set web machines, HEIDELBERG and KOMORI sheet-fed machine.

4. THOMSON PRESS INDIA LTD. Faridabad. from 04.02.95 to 19. 06. 2002.Worked as Senior Supervisor in Printing Department. Joined as Asst. Supervisor, then promoted as Supervisor from 1st April 1997 onwards. Transferred to their Chennai plant on 25th March 1998 and promoted as Sr. Supervisor w.e.f. 1st April 2000. I have received best performance award for the year 2001. On hands experience:- HEIDELBERG HARRIS and MITSUBISHI heat-set web machines, MITSUBISHI and ROLAND sheet-fed machines.

5. TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY PRINTER LTD. Silvassa, from 30-09-93 to 06-01-95. Worked as Offset printer, Cutting and Creasing operator. The inline Web-fed machine ‘Chambon’ has inline operation of offset, gravure printing system, flat-bed die-cutting, creasing and stripping units with an infra-red drier.
