Environmental Nanotechnology, Photocatalysts and Electrocatalysts, Carbon dioxide reduction and utilization, Photochemical and photo electrochemical reactions, Nanotechnology, Reactor design, Hydrodynamics and Mass transfer in microfluidics.

My research work was on the enhancement of conversion efficiency of carbon dioxide in millichannels and in photocatalytic reactor. This work has the application in the field of material synthesis, characterization and its application in various fields such as energy and environment. It involves two major studies of gas-liquid absorption and photocatalytic reduction of CO2. I designed and fabricated the milli channels and the photochemical reactor and synthesized the novel photo catalyst by modifying the Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanotubes in order to improve the reduction of carbon dioxide to useful hydrocarbon fuels. Applied MATLAB to solve the mathematical models in mass transfer studies and gas-liquid hydrodynamics in millichannels. ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

Ph.D.

1. Photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide using titanium dioxide based Nano catalysts in the solar reactor, under guidance of Prof.S.Pushpavanam and Prof. Somnath C.Roy. (2017-2020)

The main objective of the work is to convert carbon dioxide to useful chemicals or fuels using the green and clean energy by using the prepared modified titanium dioxide catalysts.

2. Experimental and theoretical investigation of carbon dioxide absorption in chemical solvents, under guidance of Prof. S. Pushpavanam (2014-2017)

Carbon dioxide absorption in chemical solvents is studied. Mass transfer and hydrodynamics of controlled study of reactive gas-liquid absorption is conducted in the millichannel.
