Project Name : Experimental Study On Partial Replacement Of Cement By Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag ( GGBS )

Role : Planning Team Size : 5 Project Duration : 6 Month Project Detail The partial replacement of cement by GGBS prompts designers and developers to achieve sustainability in construction by minimizing carbon dioxide emissions and also helps in minimizing the environmental problem of GGBS disposal.

The project work aims to investigate the characteristics of M20 & M30 concrete by partially replacing the cement by Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag (GGBS). GGBS is a pozzolonic materials used to make durable concrete structures in combination with ordinary portland cement. RESUME

Project Name : An Experimental Study On Partial Replacement Of Sand By Glass Powder Role : Planning Team Size : 5 Project Duration : 6 Month Project Detail The recycled glass has been used in the form of powder. The glass powder was tested with concert and mortar. The cement was replaced by the glass powder in the proportion of 5%,10% & 15%.

The compressive strength test and split tensile strength test were conducted for above replacements . The result shows glass powder improves the mechanical properties.
