I have worked on backup tools like Veritas NetBackup, Backup Exec, Rubrik backup solution and VEEAM
Primarily, working on NetBackup 7.6.0.4 and 7.7.3, 8.1.2. Please find below description of responsibilities.
•Installing, Implementing, Monitoring and troubleshooting of NetBackup Server and Client agent configurations, Understanding of NetBackup process flow.
•Installation of LAN backups (SQL, ORACLE, VM).
•Configuring Policy, NetBackup Client and NetBackup Server.
•Performing restores for file system and full machine whenever required.
•Troubleshooting Drives /Library related issues for smooth backup.
•Good knowledge of storage unit, storage group, volume group, volume pool.
•Duplicating backup images by configuring Storage lifecycle policy.
•Knowledge of troubleshoot all kinds of error codes.
•Monitoring and Trouble Shooting the Missed and Failed backup, SQL & Oracle RMAN Backup.
•Daily task includes Space reclamations, Migration of data from Disk to Tape, Ensuring DB backups Completion.
•Co-coordinating with Server Support Team for stuck tapes in a drive & other Library Issues.
•Providing old backup details to client when they require.
•Backup media (Tapes) management, verifying available scratches and making sure enough scratches available for duplication.
•Handling backup and backup images like extending and expiring the images.
•Configuring backups (SQL, ORACLE, VM) in Rubrik backup solution.
•Working in SLA and MV based backups in Rubrik.
•Performing VM and filesystem restore on Rubrik backup solution.
•Configured media server and backup policy, tape library, storage unit and volume pool as per client request.
•Working knowledge of NetBackup appliance 5230.
•Performing Data Domain health check.
•Working in ticket management tools like HPSM and service now.
•Working on Service task, incident and daily alert by providing required resolution without breaching the resolution SLA.
