To whom it may concern,
I am interested in applying for a part-time position with your company. Attached is a copy of my resume.
As my resume indicates I have experience working and volunteering at summer camps and with children. Although, these jobs are not directly related to retail job experience I feel that they have equipped me with the skills that would be transferable into this work environment. For example, I’ve worked with many different age groups that have many different needs. This can translate to working and dealing with customers and meeting their needs. When working at Crestwood Valley Day Camp this summer I had to work in a team environment. This allowed me to continue to enhance my collaboration and team skills on a day-to-day basis. I feel this skill would be interchangeable in the retail environment. I have developed great communication and problem solving skills throughout my time working at various jobs. When issues come up at work my quick problem solving skills help keep activities and team members calm and on track with the activities at hand. I am a quick thinker and solution oriented. This is a skill I feel will be essential when working in a retail store.
I look forward to hearing back and am excited about the opportunities you have available to join your team. Please contact me by phone: 647-***-**** or by email: adh8xj@r.postjobfree.com Regards,
