Professional Summary
Independent and confident while maintaining an excellent collaborative approach to patient care when necessary for patient referrals. I am a hospitalist nurse practitioner of four years. This specialty requires that I function as a primary care provider as well. I understand how chronic conditions may cause acute conditions and I often diagnose new chronic conditions which require education and treatment prior to hospital discharge. My approach to care stems from holistic and evidence-based modalities. I will take the time to listen and invest in the well-being of all those in need of medical care. As a nurse, my unique contribution to medicine is the ability to educate patients so they have an understanding of their disease process and the next steps they need to take regarding prevention and/or treatment.
