ACADEMIC PROJECTS

M.Tech Dissertation [June’ 19 – July’ 20]

Guide: Prof.V.S.Raja, MEMS Department, IIT Bombay Corrosion study on Fe50Mn30Co10Cr10 (at. %) High Entropy Alloys

• Microstructural and Potentiodynamic polarization studies in as-cast condition

• Polarization tests at various pH of chloride and sulfate solutions

• Carrying out the same experiments after hot rolled and annealed conditions

• Effect of HCP phase fraction on corrosion properties COURSE ACTIVITY

Tensile tests and R bar Test of mild steel and Aluminium [Mar’ 19]

• Carried out tensile tests and R-bar Test

• Determined the yield theory and corresponding work hardening exponents by which material yielded based on the results using MATLAB

Metal Forming Experiments [Apr’ 19]

• Carried out Limit Dome Height Test

• Constructed forming limit diagram

Tensile test simulation [Mar’ 19]

• Applied implicit, explicit and semi implicit schemes for the tensile test simulation

• Analyzed effect of strain rate sensitivity, strain hardening exponent on tensile test Forming analysis using Inspire form [Jan – Apr’ 19]

• Simulated the forming operation of Sheet ( constrained geometry) by using FE based Altair Inspire Form software and studied the effect of different parameters on Strain path, Strain distribution and Forming limit diagram CREDIT SEMINAR

Corrosion of stainless steel in food processing [Jan – May’ 19] Guide: Prof.V.S.Raja, MEMS Department, IIT Bombay

• Studied different kinds of corrosion occurs in stainless steel

• Studied Toxicology of various elements on human health

• Effect of various parameters on the corrosion of SS in the food industry

• Concluded that leaching is more during the initial period of immersion, surface roughness affects leaching

• Usage of SS leads to consumption of more metallic elements and health hazards, preventive measures should be taken during its processing and its application
