Managed contractors and field supervisors during UMTS installation. Supervised the re-locating and upgrading of items that were installed incorrectly by previous contractors. In charge of all site walk surveys and re-engineering teams developed to determine proper routes and pathways for the deployment of aerial and underground fiber optic cable.

Managed several contractors and vendors throughout the Sprint/Nextel New Build and modification construction process. As the lead project manager I was in charge of overseeing quality assurance and wireless construction. The position also required multiple site visits to ensure that the modifications were completed on time and under budget. I was also responsible for all of the scheduling, tracking, and procurement processes in the San Diego Market. I was also responsible for maintaining the construction tracker to update upper management of the construction on a day to day basis. The position required weekly meetings with Site Acquisition Managers to review construction drawings, lease amendments, permits and structural analysis. This position also required reviewing tower mapping, A & E Construction Drawings and Zoning drawings. After reviewing and making corrections I was responsible for signing off on the drawings as being deemed complete and correct.

Maintained all construction trackers in order to update upper management on the day to day status of each site.

Managed 5 construction managers and 4 contractors installing Cingular’s’ UMTS network. Reviewed all site acceptance documents. Scheduled all pre-construction meetings with contractors and A&E firms. Successfully built over 500 sites on time and within budget. The project included the installation of RCU and RETS on all UMTS sites. Many of these sites included GSM installation including ground up installation of Node buildings and wireless towers. Personally managed the installation of underground conduit for the fiber backbone and wireless coax.
