Point of contact for daily interaction with Citi’s HR Advisors/Generalist/Partners to clarify policy related inquiries for all mobility programs
Primary contact for the expatriate on-going support throughout the life cycle of assignment
Prepare expatriate cost projections and compensation estimated summaries used to support the understanding of the overall cost of the assignment and seek business review and approval
Point of contact for US/LATAM inbound/outbound expatriate by providing advice and guidance on policy, process and procedures to HR
Responsible for generating and distributing the expatriate assignment letters and compensation summary and coordinating the expatriate transfer between foreign offices inbound/outbound to US and LATAM and expatriate pre-assignment briefings to review each component of the expatriate policy and benefits/allowances
Partner with HR on end of expatriate coordination and responsibilities, including localization, termination and US/LATAM repatriation.
Work closely with Global Mobility Senior Managers to update Expatriate, US Domestic, International Transfer and International Short Term Assignment - HR and Employee’s policies guidelines
Maintains excel spreadsheet to track new expatriate initiations, localization, repatriation, severance
Liaising with Citi’s HRSS Expatriate Payroll team and completing internal cross border process for new US inbound expatriates, repatriation and terminations in a timely manner following Citi’s process and utilizing Global Mobility’s integrated systems
Implementation of the work-up function in PwC Resource Payroll System and conduct global training on this feature
Created and monitor Expatriate Survey to ensure Mobility Specialist and relocation vendors are providing high standards of service
Create ongoing check-list as a tool to be organized in the coordination and administration of the global expatriate, efficient recordkeeping, tracking and reporting purposes
Responsible for reviewing the fully executed Expatriate Assignment Letter during the Bi-Annual Audit Review for Self-testing for Global Mobility
Proactively monitor with stakeholders the progress of immigration and Cartus/Crown relocation process to initiate the transfer submission to HRSS Expatriate Payroll and Workday on a timely manner to meet strict deadlines
Evaluate the expatriate eligibility to the Head Office Guarantee (HOG) Pension Plan
Coached and trained newly Mobility Specialists and shared best practices Vendor Management Function:
Initiate coordination with Cartus/Crown, Citi’s Third Party Relocation Vendors and review any exceptions to policies with Business to ensure awareness and expense accountability
Extensive interaction with Cartus/Crown’s consultants to coordinate mobility transfer between foreign offices and to ensure proper benefits are provided based on business approval of Core/Flex benefits
Partner with Cartus/Crown to ensure adherence to standards and policies and manage their performance
Monthly audit review of expatriate relocation benefits to ensure vendor is reimbursing within Citi policy and guidelines such as annual home leave and child education reimbursement Payroll Function:
Processed SBIO (Overseas) Ltd. sterling paid expatriate payroll each month, including, general ledger feeds, creating and distributing benefits, net pay distribution and off-cycle payments
Constant interaction with HR Generalist to ensure that expatriates are removed from domestic payroll to avoid double salary payments and avoid exclusion of health care benefits, SPP contributions and 401(k) deductions
Tax Function:
Assist in managing the expatriate tax preparation engagement, including TEC collection and payments and follow-up correspondence
Prepared and filed federal and state tax deposits, quarterly and annual Forms 941 and 940 and state withholding returns
