Take history, assess, diagnose, prescribe medications based on offenders symptoms, order testing, review results, collaborate and consult other health care professionals when appropriate. Follow up on sick calls and sign charts, provide on call services and transfer offenders for emergent care services as necessary if care is beyond the institution’s policy.
