• Manage the bandwidth(capacity) and service delivery of Bharti in various under sea cable Systems
(viz.,SMW4,IMEWE and EIG in Atlantic and i2i,AAG,ESSAY and UNITY in Pacific),IRUs(FT,Vodafone,TIS,APCN2,SJC,Level3,TAT14,Hibernia,TE,T-Systems,PCCW etc.),Leased Bandwidth in various cable systems.
• During the cable failure, as a Capacity Manager I need to find the capacities available in other cable systems and need to provide the forecast of available bandwidth for restoration.
• When customers are turning up for restoration need to do co-ordinate with respective parties involved like other cable systems and X-Connect providers to restore the circuit using the available or new bandwidth.
• Responsible to maintain the master circuit database of Bharti International Group, circuits passing via all Cable Systems, IRUs and Leased Capacities need to be updated regularly in the master DB.
• Utilization database need to be prepared for all Cable Systems, IRU and in Leased Capacities, based on the deletion and activation of bandwidth need to have regular update in DB.
• As a Capacity manager also need to track Metasolv for internal order processing, will get the order from Projects/Business team, same need to be processed by allocating the capacity either from existing bandwidth or need to activate the new bandwidth by checking the possibility in consent with business/projects team.
• Need to verify the availability of (like Letter Of Intent-LOI, End to End Test Report, Acceptance Mail from Customer, PCD etc.,) critical documents before service delivery(RFS) of each circuit
• i2i being the own cable system of Bharti, all capacity activation, deactivation, restoration etc., are routed via Capacity Manager, based on the availability, in consent with business and projects team, will allocate the bandwidth and instruct i2i NOC to implement the same in network
