• Designed and applied a survey questionnaire and an interview scrip in communities in the Calha Norte area in the Brazilian state of Pará, in the Amazon region, in order to gage the possible impact of women’s organizing in associations on gender-based violence.

• Analyzed the results through statistical analysis of 211 relationships referent to 58 different hypothesis and content analysis of over 100 interview pages.

• Produced a 235pp final report with recommendations for future research endeavors and stakeholder action.

Fundacíon Escuelas de Paz (Foundation Peace Schools)

• Conducted background research on issues pertaining transitional justice, youth and education in the Colombian region of Arauca, with a special focus on gender.

• Worked collaboratively with a team to design a curriculum for teachers who work with students between 14 and 16 years old in order to include themes of transitional justice, conflict transformation, and gender justice in their programing.

• Improved diversity and inclusion by applying a gender analytical lens and working on mainstreaming gender in the monitoring and evaluation plan.

• Worked directly with Dr. Seniha Ayse Kadayifci-Orellana, Professor of Conflict Resolution, in research for a book project focused on the intersection between gender and religion in countering violent extremism, conducting literature reviews and coding primary sources.

Pro-Bono Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant Feb–July 2018

• Designed a series of nine-hour long workshops on youth, gender, and conflict in three towns in Pará, choosing the discussion topic through consultation with the local population. Facilitated the workshops, engaging the participants in discussion which resulted in an action plan.

• Gender mainstreamed the activities and goals of a USAID funded socioenvironmental project in the same region, as the project was under review before initiating its third phase. Produced a formative evaluation plan for the same project.
