Experience in the emergent assessment of the pediatric, adult and geriatric patient in both the emergency department and urgent care setting. Experience interpreting appropriate diagnostic studies commonly ordered in the emergency setting such as ABG’s, cardiac enzymes, thyroid studies, coagulation studies, CBC, CMP, D-dimer, EKG’s, STI testing, urinalysis, and x-ray and ultrasound interpretation. Experience administrating local anesthetic, suture and staple placement, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, hematoma blocks, auricular blocks, digital blocks, splinting with both fiberglass and plaster, shoulder reduction, removal of ocular foreign body, starting an IV, venipuncture and blood draw, pelvic exams, rectal exams with guaiac testing, testicular exams and incision and drainage. Clinical Experience in Surgery

Experience in surgical consults, preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative and trauma code encounters in the OR, emergency room, PACU, ICU and general medical floor settings. Experience in proper sterile technique including surgical scrubbing and gowning in the OR setting. Clinical Experience in PCU/Medicine I

Experience in obtaining an appropriate history and physical examination for acute, chronic and emergent conditions in the critical care setting/progressive care unit. Exposure to extremely ill patients complicated with COVID-19, heart failure, toxic metabolic encephalopathy, ESRD on hemodialysis, etc. Experience with patients with PICC lines, AV fistulas for chronic dialysis use and central lines including triple lumen catheters. Experience in interpreting chest x-rays, ABG’s and various lab studies. Exposed to various ventilation systems such as noninvasive ventilation (CPAP and BiPAP) and invasive ventilation (endotracheal intubation and tracheostomy/trach collars). Contributed to rounds by presenting patient cases to attending physicians and other providers of the PCU team. Experience in discussion of end of life plans with the patient, family members and caregivers.

Clinical Experience in Internal Medicine:

Experience in acute, chronic and emergent conditions of both the adult and geriatric patient in the internal medicine setting. Experience in obtaining history and physical exams, formulating differential diagnoses and communicating organized oral presentations to the attending physician and internal medicine team during morning rounds. Experience rounding on patients in various levels of care such as the emergency room, ICU and general medical floors. Experience in reviewing and interpreting commonly ordered lab work and imaging such as x-rays, CT scans and MRI’s. Experience charting and documenting patient’s progress notes including medical management and decision making. Experience in developing therapeutic plans tailored to the patient’s condition, comorbidities and future disposition. Clinical Experience in Women’s Health:

Experience in acute, chronic and preventative women’s health encounters including both gynecological and prenatal conditions. Experience in reading pelvic ultrasounds for various conditions including endometrial and cervical cancer, dysmenorrhea, post-menopausal bleeding, leiomyoma and ovarian neoplasms and cysts. Proficient in breast exam, bimanual exam, pelvic exam and pap smears.

Clinical Experience in Psychiatry:

Experience in a geriatric psychiatric unit performing appropriate mental status examination and overall examination of patients presenting with common conditions encountered in psychiatric/behavioral health such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenic disorders, substance use disorders, dementia, delirium, suicidal ideation, Alzheimer’s disease and depression. Engaged in morning rounds, treatment plan, daily medication review and discharge plan amongst psychiatric physicians, nurses and social workers.

Clinical Experience in Pediatrics:
