PETROCHINA Iraq 2019 to Present

Largest oil and gas producer and distributor, playing a dominant role in the oil and gas industry in world.

Senior Reservoir Engineer

Provided overall subsurface engineering support and coordination to support reservoir management, operations and surveillance for the Halfaya Oil Field. Worked cross-functionally to optimize field production operations while monitoring operational activities and establish/provide proposals to make process improvement recommendations. QC and Analyze fluid properties of oil reservoirs.

Conducted reservoir analytical analysis and improving well/reservoir performance. Designed and implemented reservoir management plans (RMP). Instructor of SCAL training course from QC to interpretation.

Key Accomplishments:

Analysed, identified, and designed mitigation plans for problematic wells and proposed solutions such as Workover, water shut off, add new perf, re-perforation, simulation jobs, well activation, etc. Built Well flow model by Pipe Sim to predict the well performance.

Designed and implemented the Reservoir Management Plan (RMP), including well surveillance, production violations, and production optimization for hydrocarbon maximization.

Evaluated and monitored Water Injection efficiency and applied various diagnosis methods such as Hall plot, Chan plot, and conformance analysis for monitoring and evaluating water injectors & offset well producer performance.

Reservoir Engineer Technical Assurance & Subsurface Study Team Leader (2017 to 2019)

Led the Reservoir Engineer Technical team to exceed the technical requirements in building efficient and reliable Dynamic models from input data preparation until forecast scenarios and FDP submission.

Led three subsurface project teams to achieve the work commitment referred to the agreement such as build static/Dynamic models, FDP, resource assessment study, Improved Gas Recovery IGR study, and area development plan (ADP) for MLNG-2 GAS Cluster at Sarawak area-Malaysia.

Key Accomplishments:

Built two efficient dynamic models of BS and WL fields, and submit FDP included new wells placement.

Built MEPO workflow for assisted history matching, completed sensitivity, uncertainties& risk mitigation. Generated deterministic and probabilistic production forecast by Mont Carlo method for determine P90, P50, and P10 reserve.

Presented to Milestone Review Committee for FDP submission and project acceptance.

Managed W/O plan activities to reactivate shut-in well, supported operations and workover program.

Established Reservoir management plans for the development fields.

Submitted predicted reserves for new prospect evaluation (West Lotung Deep reservoir).

Senior Reservoir Engineer (2012 to 2016)

Directed a team to deliver the high-quality work necessary to underpin operation decisions in reservoir management and optimization of production from the area assets while adding further value by actively pursuing development opportunities in the area. Compiled and delivered technical presentations for senior management, partners, and government personnel. Conducted reservoir numerical and analytical analysis. Worked closely with other discipline teams (DD/Facilities/Subsea/PEC) to optimize project schedule and minimize delay in first hydrocarbon production.

Built the Dynamic Model and FDP submission for Branange, F-12, and Shallow Clastic Phase-I fields, including input data such as PVT, SCAL, MDT, DST testing, sensitivity & Uncertainty Analysis and provide Optimum drainage points to deliver Infill drilling targets.

Liaised cross-functionally identify and solve technical issues and workflow challenges; guided overall scorecard analysis and made recommendations for technical enhancements.

An oil exploration and development agreement for a concession in the Gulf of Suez covering a 151.7 sq. mile area.

Reservoir Engineer

Reviewed and updated existing reservoir models based on new data and if required constructed suitable new models with available data.
