10.Present situation:
Omar has over 20 years of experience working with international donor-funded programs in the field of livelihood enhancement, Humanitarian Aid and recovery. Omar has + 10 years of experience in planning, implementing and evaluating multi-purpose cash and in-kind distribution programmes in conflict and crises areas in the Middle East (Palestine, Libya and Lebanon). Omar was one of the driving forces behind the formulation of DanChurchAid’s global strategy for cash-based interventions and is currently conducting a Ph.d. (part time) with a focus on strengths and weaknesses of cash vs. in-kind distribution of humanitarian aid in crisis affected areas in the Mena Region. Omar has previously trained hundreds of aid workers in sphere standards, Core Humanitarian Standards and modalities for cash distribution.
Since 2008 Omar has trained and coached hundreds of humanitarian aid managers (particulary in the ACT alliance) and workers in different countries in Middle East (Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia and Libya) in disaster management sphere standards, emergency response planning, and in different modalities of Cash Based Interventions.

Professional Experience
Experience of more than 20 years in the area of humanitarian aid and relevant guidelines and standards.
As a program advisor ( UNDP. ACT Alliance, WB and EC) and program Manager ( NPA,DCA, JSI and WVI) in Palestine and MENA region, and in parallel a part time consultant since 2000, Omar has more than 20 years of experience, providing advisory services and support to organizations in strategic planning, managing programs, formulating M&E frameworks and reporting on results. Omar’s experience includes:
•Evaluating Humanitarian and livelihoods programs.
•Design and develop strategic plans
•Review the partners and members strategic plan and develop them.
•Designing monitoring tools for many designed projects especially in livelihood and humanitarian aid including cash-based intervention projects.
