Aeronautical Engineering Senior Manager

Managed the Design Standardization IPT which was responsible for the development, updating, coordinating, releasing, and maintenance of the Airframe Structural Design Standards and Airframe System Installation Design Standards, Policies, and Procedures.

This team was responsible for the horizontal integration of the structural and system design standards across the F35 Airframe IPTs. Coordination activity occurred across the Airframe IPT sites at Northrop Grumman, BAE, LM Aero-Palmdale, and principle suppliers.

Airframe and System Design Standards included: Fuel Sealing, Fastener Selection and Application, Subsystem Installation Methodology, Numerical Control Machining, Composite Design, Interchangeability and Replaceability, Power Thermal Management System, Electrical Cables, Electrical Motors and System Installations.

Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for budgets and used EVMS for tracking cost and schedule.

Production Engineering Manager

Managed the design, development, and testing of the F-22. Directed the establishment of structural specifications, performance of stress analysis, and performance testing. I was responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the budget of those five departments using EVMS tools. Responsible for the F/A-22 Modification Program with specific emphasis on reduction of non-conformances and meeting production span times.

I interfaced with site-specific test operations managers and program master schedulers to provide strategic coordination of flight test schedules, and test aircraft and supporting asset operating constraints and limitations.

Maintained test article configuration to assure components were level four or higher on EOFC data. Fluent in the Flight Test Request (FTR) and T2 modification and helped author test and technical documents such as Engineering Inspection Reports (EIR), Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO), Aircraft Operating Limitations (AOL).

Ensured that engineering drawings, TCTO's and kits worked together for smooth installation at Palmdale and Edwards AFB.
