I was hired at this hospital as a new graduate and got my specialty training in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Within the first year I was relief charge nurse. I took care of babies requiring ventilator care and multiple Intravenous lines. This was a Level three NICU. 1986-2001 Fountain Valley Regional Hospital

Responsible for the total care of critically ill infants in a level III NICU. Additional duties include on call responsibilities to Labor and delivery for all high-risk deliveries as well as a cesarean deliveries. Relief charge nurse. Member of the transport team tasked with bringing critically ill infants to the NICU for care. Preceptor for new graduates and employees. Member of the bereavement team. Certified to place central percutaneous lines.
