ACADEMIC PROJECTS
1st Year Mechanical Engg 2016-17: Mechanically automated vehicle- Manufactured and assembled a vehicle mechanism where in once set it travels a distance and returns back accurately to its starting point with no external interference or guidance.
This project was the winning team of ImechE Design Challenge Middle East for the year 2017.
2017-18
In this academic project I was given a challenging task to design and manufacture equipment which will be entirely mechanical to perform. I decided to manufacture the candy vending machine and to abide by the set norms and limitations.In this project I gained experience to develop rubber transmission powered vehicle. It was a challenge to do this project with limited resources, material and to keep the mechanism simple. It was well appreciated by the tutors in the class competition.
Second year-second semester ROBOTIC project: In this project I built a fully functional vacuum robot capable of moving around and avoiding obstacles and sucking in all the dirt in its path. The robot uses the ultrasonic distance sensor in front of it. When the distance reduces to a particular level, the robot interprets the presence of an obstacle in its path thus halting and it retrieves backward for a few centimeters, looks around (right and left) then turns toward the direction that shows more free space in front of it while the vacuum continues to do its job. It was a great learning experience and great introduction to robotics for me.
Final year Thesis: Forged carbon fiber composite technology for Automobiles.
This involves carbon fiber composite material which was developed and introduced jointly between Lamborghini and Callaway Golf Company in their Sesto Elemento concept car. In this project I substituted with the forged composite technology to automotive components of sports and race collaborated vehicles which will make a big advantage in the automotive market. This project substitutes the performance parts which are expensive Rims. These rims will be replaced with a special technology developed by the Lamborghini company which is the forged carbon fiber making it economical with reduced manufacturing time and a higher production rate compared with the usual carbon fiber rims prevailing in the market.
