AnovaWork at Pacific Norwest National Labs 3350 George Washington Way, Duties include Surveillance exams for Beryllium, Asbestos, Biosafety 1,2 &3, Health Maintenance, Hearing, Thermal exposures and Blood Born Pathogens, Foreign Travel and DOT physicals. I also manage minor injuries with first aid, manage WA L&I Claims, and refer to specialists as needed. Labs with employees and explain findings. Covid19 management, Via Telephone discuss close contacts and or symptoms, arrange for testing and follow up. Reporting to Health Department.
Primary Care/ Emergent Care AUGUST 2016 to DECEMBER 2018 Naphcare, 911 Parr Blvd, Reno, NV.
Duties: Primary care, Chronic care, Acute care, physicals, etc. Infirmary rounds daily with complex medical decisions for patients. Pain management, including Shoulder and small joint injections. Managing detoxing patients. Ordering and Interpreting Labs, X-rays, EKGs, chart reviews daily, coordinate patient care to appropriate specialty providers, and much more. On-call 24 hours per day, Telemed and verbal orders with RNs. One week on, and 1 week off. Work Comp: April 201l- September 2016
Concentra in Reno, Carson, and Sparks, Nevada
Duties: Busy Clinic seeing 20-30 patients per day. This job consists of Workers Compensation injury management, orthopedic management, sports injuries, urgent care and physical exams including DOT. I also perform pre-hire, respiratory physicals, Hazmat, audio, Biometric screenings, other risk screenings, police annual physicals and military deployment physicals. I also new on the job work compensation physicals and follow up. Skills include: Shoulder and trigger finger injections. I have taken continuing education (CE) in joint injections. Laceration care and eye foreign body removal. During this employment I worked 40 hours a week for Concentra’s Primary Care Clinic at GSR for 1 year from June 2012-April 2013. I managed chronic disease processes such as HTN, DMII, GERD, IBS, Hypercholesterol, and preventive care. I also provided Urgent Care and Physical Exams. We use EMRs Occu-source, Centricity and Allscripts.
URGENT CARE: November 2010 – April 2011 (40 + hours per week) Renown Medical Center, multiple locations – Reno, Nevada Duties: In an urgent care setting seeing 20-30 patients per day (children, adults and elderly). Skills include: Evaluation of lab work, x-rays, referrals to specialty and higher level care, orthopedic care, dehydration care, wound care including I & D’s, and laceration suturing. Used EMR. URGENT CARE: August 2010 - September 2010 (56 hours per week) Concentra- occupational Medicine, multiple locations – Portland, Oregon Duties: Seeing 10-20 patients per day. Physical exams including post hire, pre hire, emergency care and follow up with return to duty instructions. Evaluation of pulmonary function tests, audiogram and hearing loss, eye exams and physical agility exams. Cared and managed patients with emergency needs including referral when necessary in the following areas: chemical exposures, burns, eye abrasions, removal of debris or foreign objects in eye/s, hearing explosion exposures, orthopedic injuries, broken bones, strains, sprains, hearing loss, and many others. Department of transportation exams, hazmat exams including evaluation of lab work, x-rays, and specialty reports. Skills include: Laceration repair. Used EMR and paper assessments. OCCUPATIONAL/ EMERGENT CARE: June 2009-August 2010 (40 hours per week) Department of Defense - Herlong, California
Duties: Administrative duties including: NSPS evaluations, provided informal and formal feedback to medical staff. Set up contract with Quest Diagnostics as the COR. Attended Lassen County public health meetings regularly as the APHEO. Notified medical personal, including paramedics of upcoming public health events to increase awareness in an emergency situation. Preformed fitness for duty exams, deployment physicals, periodic surveillance physicals, pre hire physicals, department of transportation, asbestos surveillance and scheduling and evaluating B-readings. Follow up on positive PPD exams. Managed sick call and injured employees of the Depot. Preformed including lab work, EKGs, and referrals as needed.
