Description: We built an application to recognize Viet Nam Sign Language. It focuses on hand gesture instead of body pose or face gesture
Result: We used Google team’s MediaPipe framework to extract hand landmark into txt file and built a LSTM model to recognize. We also built a GUI with Tkinter Python library to communicate with users. Thesis can be recognized one sign and a sequence with two or three continuous signs
Vehicles detection and tracking using YOLO and SORT (Sep 2019 - Dec 2019) Thesis proposal (Defense grade: 9.5/10)
Role: leader of a team with two members
Description: My team had researched objects detection and tracking using Pytorch framework. We used YOLOv3 algorithm for vehicles detection in Viet Nam traffic and SORT algorithm to track them
Result: This system can detect multiple vehicles in images and track those vehicles across videos frames
Parking spots detector using OpenCV and Tensorflow (Sep 2019 - Dec 2019) A mini project of Computer vison subject
Role: leader of a team with five members
Description: My team bulit a model to detect empty parking spots with mounted camera
Result: There are two main steps in building this parking spots detection model. Firstly, it can detect the position of all available parking spots using image processing technical (Canny method, Hough line transform...). After that, it will indentify if a parking spot is vacant or occupied. This is conducted by Open CV library and CNN model
