ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
1. Heat Transfer Augmentation.
Title: Experimental investigation of Heat transfer Augmentation using Passive Techniques. Objective: To increase the heat transfer co efficient by using passive techniques and reducing pumping power required.
Heat transfer augmentation (the study of improved heat transfer ) techniques are commonly used in areas such as process industries, heating and cooling in evaporators, thermal power plants, air- conditioning equipment, refrigerators, radiators for space vehicles, automobiles etc. Inserts were used in flow field to cause turbulence and disturbance in flow of fluid thereby enhancing the rate of heat transfer & the project was completed by following below steps:
• Determining the shape of stream line body which was inserted in pipe for heat transfer augmentation.
• Testing of experimental set up by using twisted strip and stream line body and find out results. 2. Amphibian Bot.
A Mechatronics project to design and construct a robot capable of both land and water locomotion driven by motors using wireless communication module powered by rechargeable battery and to detect the barriers along its way and perform accordingly. 3. Hand Pump (Return Crank Mechanism).
A project dealing with Fluid Mechanics and Theory of Machines: Designed and constructed a hand pump using quick return crank mechanism.
ACHIEVEMENTS & ACTIVITIES:
1. Zonal Winner of India’s Biggest Robotics Championship affiliated to IIT-Bombay 2. Certificate of Robotics Workshop Training, AIKTC, New Pavel. 3. Certificate of Appreciation for being Head of Designing Team during Robochamps- Intercollegiate event, AIKTC.
