Impact on Telecommunication sector Pre & Post 9/11- Outages Statistics(September 2014-December 2014)

An extensive research was performed on PSTN large scale telecommunication outages reports issued in between 1992 to 2004, mixed research conducted on outages, scanned 700 reports and classified local switch outages

Used different sampling methods to find out local switch outage reports

Analyzed quantitative (date, time, duration of outage, blocked calls) and qualitative (root cause, direct cause, and trigger cause) data

Created outage reports using Excel and compared according to the time as pre and post 9/11

Undergraduate Project- Automatic Accident Detection System

This is a small, low cost kit which can be installed in any automotive to save lives after an accident has taken place.

With the help of basic communication devices (GSM and GPS) the exact coordinates of the accident location can be traced. An alert SMS is automatically sent to the police and ambulance comprising the coordinates of the accident.

Won the first prize for the National Symposium on Engineering Final Year Projects 2013 at the University of Nizwa.
